Hungary requires a visa for South Africans
South African passport holders require a visa to enter Hungary. Where you lodge the application, what it costs and how long it takes are set out below.

Applying for a Hungary visa in South Africa

Applications are by appointment only. Hungary also issues Schengen visas for Latvia in South Africa, since Latvia has no mission here. Your passport needs two blank consecutive visa pages and must stay valid for three months beyond your last day in the Schengen area.
