Applying for a Malta visa in South Africa
Malta has no visa section in South Africa. Applications are handled on its behalf by the Consulate of Italy in Cape Town.

Malta has no visa section in South Africa, and its short-stay visas are issued by the Italian Consulate in Cape Town through the VFS centres dedicated to Italy. That arrangement is published for the Cape provinces only, so if you live elsewhere confirm before booking. Stays over 90 days, including residence, work and study, go to the VFS centre for Malta instead and are a different application entirely.
